You will operate a forklift to move merchandise, load and unload trucks, and maintain a safe, organized club. What You'll Do10
- 1Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club.
- 2Inspect the forklift before use and follow established safety standards.
- 3Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks, inspecting and preparing trucks for unloading.
- 4Accurately receive all merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
- 5Lift, reserve, and drop pallets of merchandise to and from overhead steel and the sales floor.
- 6Prepare pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
- 7Utilize a pallet jack to move merchandise as needed.
- 8Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food merchandise, ensuring full stock levels.
- 9Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies and keep the club neat and organized.
- 10Participate in daily club openings and closings, and assist Members by greeting them and locating merchandise.
Requirements8
- 1At least 18 years of age.
- 2Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
- 3Must successfully complete required training and certification processes for forklift operation.
- 4Ability to stand and move continuously on hard surfaces.
- 5Frequent bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
- 6Frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds; may lift heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance.
- 7Comfort working around moving machinery and loud equipment, with occasional shouting to be heard.
- 8Occasional exposure to temperature extremes in freezer or cooler units, and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
