Overview

Design and integrate fluid systems for aerospace applications supporting New Glenn rocket development. Lead projects from concept through production focusing on pressurized fluid systems including pneumatic cryogenic thermal and environmental control systems. What You'll Do11

  • 1Design analyze and test fluid systems including pneumatic cryogenic thermal and environmental control systems
  • 2Develop and validate models of fluid systems using relevant software tools
  • 3Conduct experiments and analyze data to understand system and component performance
  • 4Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems into vehicle structure
  • 5Prepare technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders
  • 6Participate in design reviews and provide technical input for continuous improvement
  • 7Manage component specifications and supplier relationships throughout flight hardware development
  • 8Apply knowledge of solid modelling piping diagrams and configuration control
  • 9Validate fabrication and installation drawings for piping systems
  • 10Understand fabrication methods for piping components including welding and structural members
  • 11Utilize FEA software for stress analysis of fluid system components

Requirements11

  • 1Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree or similar discipline
  • 25+ years of experience in similar role
  • 3Proficiency with Creo and ANSYS software tools
  • 4Experience with P&IDs and engineering documentation
  • 5Familiarity with fluid components such as valves regulators and pumps
  • 6Knowledge of fabrication techniques for piping systems
  • 7Understanding of fluid system constraints and specifications
  • 8Ability to collaborate across diverse engineering disciplines
  • 9Experience with hazard analysis and risk evaluation
  • 10Exposure to aerospace fuel oxidizer and high-pressure pneumatic systems
  • 11Experience with cryogenic system design and maintenance
