Flood/Fire Mitigation Technician - Salt Lake City
Overview
As a Flood/Fire Mitigation Technician at National Flood and Fire Network, you own restoration projects for residential and commercial properties across the Salt Lake City area. You lead on-site mitigation for flood, fire, mold, and asbestos emergencies, coordinating with a full-service team to return properties to pre-loss condition. What You'll Do7
- 1Respond to emergency calls and assess damage from flood, fire, mold, or asbestos within the first 90 days.
- 2Set up and operate water extraction and drying equipment to mitigate structural damage.
- 3Perform mold remediation and asbestos abatement following safety protocols and industry standards.
- 4Coordinate with project managers and clients to document progress and communicate next steps.
- 5Ensure all work meets IICRC guidelines and local regulations for health and safety.
- 6Maintain and manage tools and equipment for readiness on every job.
- 7Restore properties to pre-loss state, verifying quality and client satisfaction.
Requirements7
- 11+ years in disaster mitigation or restoration is preferred.
- 2Valid driver's license and clean driving record for company vehicle use.
- 3IICRC certification (any) or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- 4Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Availability for on-call rotations, including nights and weekends.
- 7Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
Salary Insight
