Fire Extinguisher Technician, Portable Fire Equipment
Overview
As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will own the servicing, repair, and maintenance of portable fire equipment and emergency exit lighting for a growing customer base in Phoenix. You will complete Cintas's training program to master systems testing, inspections, and code compliance. Working independently, you will also identify upsell opportunities and build client relationships. What You'll Do8
- 1Service, repair, and maintain portable fire extinguishers and emergency exit lighting at customer sites.
- 2Conduct systems testing and inspections to identify code and non-conformance issues.
- 3Complete all required paperwork and documentation for each service visit.
- 4Manage inventory of parts and equipment on your truck to ensure job readiness.
- 5Communicate with customers to explain service findings and recommend solutions.
- 6Promote and sell additional Cintas fire protection services and products to existing accounts.
- 7Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing duties.
- 8Participate in ongoing training to stay current with NFPA codes and Cintas standards.
Requirements8
- 1Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 2High School Diploma or GED.
- 3Strong communication and customer service skills.
- 4Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 5State or local fire licenses may be required (preferred).
- 6Prior experience in fire protection or a related field is a plus.
- 7Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- 8Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including occasional overtime.
