Overview
Licensed Fire Sprinkler Technician/Inspector joining Great Southwestern Fire & Safety in Dallas offers hands‑on protection for North Texas customers while shaping a growing company's future. This role combines independent field work with teamwork and professional customer service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Inspect, test, maintain, service, troubleshoot and repair commercial fire sprinkler systems wet dry pre‑action deluge fire pump backflow and related components
- 2Follow NFPA standards Texas State Fire Marshal requirements local codes and company quality standards
- 3Document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and management
- 4Complete inspection reports service tickets deficiency documentation and other required paperwork accurately and on time
- 5Coordinate with dispatch project managers sales and operations personnel to meet service commitments
- 6Maintain company vehicle tools equipment and inventory in a safe organized professional manner
- 7Adhere to company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements
- 8Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients contractors vendors inspectors and team members
Requirements9
- 1Current Texas RME‑I license required
- 2Hands‑on experience inspecting testing maintaining servicing troubleshooting or repairing fire sprinkler systems commercial fire protection experience preferred
- 3Working knowledge of NFPA standards Texas State Fire Marshal requirements and inspection documentation practices
- 4Ability to work independently diagnose system issues and complete work safely and efficiently
- 5Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills with strong customer service abilities
- 6Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- 7Pass background check drug screening and site access requirements
- 8Physical ability to lift carry tools climb ladders work from lifts and perform field work in commercial facilities
- 9High school diploma or equivalent NICET backflow fire alarm or additional fire protection certifications a plus
