What You'll Do8
- 1Perform scheduled inspections and testing of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 and local codes
- 2Inspect initiating devices notification appliances control panels batteries and power supplies
- 3Identify deficiencies document findings and complete electronic inspection reports
- 4Communicate inspection results and recommend corrective actions to customers
- 5Coordinate with service technicians for repairs and maintain inspection schedules
- 6Follow safety policies and OSHA requirements
- 7Maintain company vehicle tools and testing equipment
- 8Stay current on industry codes manufacturer requirements and inspection procedures
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience inspecting commercial fire alarm systems
- 3Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codes
- 4Ability to read blueprints wiring diagrams and system documentation
- 5Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- 6Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 7NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification Level I or higher
- 8Manufacturer certifications Notifier Siemens Edwards Simplex Honeywell Bosch Silent Knight or similar
- 9Experience with commercial fire alarm systems in healthcare education industrial or commercial facilities
- 10Proficiency with electronic inspection software and mobile technology
