Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Carter's Inc.
Overview
The Manager of Corporate FP&A at Carter's Inc. leads consolidation of financial forecasts and strategic support for leadership. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A and collaborates with finance accounting teams and business units. You will consolidate financial planning processes manage weekly flash processes prepare gross margin analysis partner with subject matter experts lead long-range planning simplify reporting drive strategic initiatives and support impairment testing. This position offers exposure to senior leadership and unique insights into family apparel retail operations.
What You'll Do16
- 1Consolidation of the financial planning processes (50%)
- 2Create and maintain quarterly forecasts and annual budgets of revenue and expense items
- 3Manage the weekly flash process and provide weekly summaries to leadership
- 4Prepare and review Gross Margin and SG&A analysis
- 5Partner with key subject matter experts in Accounting Supply Chain Retail Marketing Merch & Design and other business functions
- 6Simplify processes and automate standard reporting
- 7Lead the long-range plan process (20%)
- 8Produce comprehensive sales and profitability model for leadership and board approval
- 9Create Long Range Plan segment / brand profitability reporting
- 10Support impairment testing process in collaboration with Controllership and external auditing teams
- 11Provide analysis and presentation materials on the Long-Range Plan to Leadership
- 12Support strategic initiatives (15%)
- 13Identify new business investments and profit improvement opportunities
- 14Work closely with VP Financial Planning & Analysis on business development activities
- 15Coach mentor challenge and develop the FP&A Analyst
- 16Manage roles and responsibilities of the team (15%)
Requirements11
- 1Must have 4+ years of experience in corporate finance or professional services
- 2Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Economics or related field
- 3Highly effective communication and presentation skills
- 4Proficiency in MS Excel PowerPoint and Word
- 5Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- 6Preferred skills: Experience with Hyperion and SAP financial systems
- 7Driven organized and able to balance multiple priorities
- 8Good interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across all levels
- 9Self motivated and resourceful
- 10Strong analytical skills and ability to quantify interpret and communicate financial forecasts
- 11Proven experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
