What You'll Do8

  • 1Package federal student aid for new and returning students with precision, following Title IV regulations and FAFSA requirements.
  • 2Manage student accounts receivable, reducing past-due balances and minimizing processing rejects.
  • 3Conduct quarterly audits of financial aid files and processes to maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules.
  • 4Generate regular reports on aid disbursements, enrollment status, and audit findings for leadership review.
  • 5Train new and existing staff on financial aid procedures, COD system use, and regulatory updates.
  • 6Investigate audit questions and resolve discrepancies in aid awards, working with the NSLDS and other federal databases.
  • 7Coordinate with admissions and registrar teams to ensure timely aid packaging for incoming students.
  • 8Travel among campuses to support consistent financial aid operations and resolve on-site issues.

Requirements8

  • 11+ year of financial aid experience in a higher education setting.
  • 2Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • 3Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations, including verification, FAFSA, and Title IV compliance.
  • 4Ability to meet eligibility for professional access to Federal Student Aid systems.
  • 5Strong analytical skills for precise aid calculations and audit responses.
  • 6Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-department collaboration.
  • 7Willingness to travel among campuses and work flexible hours, including evenings, when needed.
  • 8College degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience.
