What You'll Do7
- 1Install structural steel, bar joists, and metal decking using SMAW with 7018 rod.
- 2Weld handrails, guardrails, stairs, and mezzanines to spec.
- 3Assist with rigging, signaling, and steel erection on active job sites.
- 4Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other jobsite equipment safely.
- 5Read blueprints and work from drawings to place steel accurately.
- 6Coordinate with special inspectors to pass weld inspections.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
Requirements8
- 13+ years field welding experience with structural steel.
- 2Proficient in SMAW; FCAW experience preferred.
- 3Read blueprints and work from drawings.
- 4D1.1 structural welding experience preferred.
- 5Lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.
- 6Reliable transportation.
- 7OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- 8Experience working with special inspectors.
