Field Service Technician II - ATM & Self-Checkout Repair
Overview
You own maintenance and repair for ATMs and self-checkout systems across Boston, MA at NCR Atleos, keeping commerce running for global retailers and banks. You diagnose hardware, software, and network issues on electromechanical equipment. You work within an assigned territory, managing service calls from first response to resolution. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform customer installations, maintenance, and service calls promptly, resolving ATM and self-checkout issues on first visit where possible.
- 2Service and repair electromechanical equipment, including ATMs and self-checkout systems, within an assigned territory.
- 3Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system configuration faults using PC-based diagnostic tools.
- 4Manage network faults, system access, security settings, and remote connectivity for deployed equipment.
- 5Organize and triage customer issues, addressing problems proactively to prevent downtime.
- 6Communicate with customers openly and professionally, focusing on resolution and relationship building.
- 7Participate in virtual and hands-on training programs provided by NCR Atleos, including CompTIA A+ and Network+ preparation.
- 8Comply with safety standards, accurate timekeeping, and fleet driving requirements, and adapt to rotating shifts and possible reassignment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of related field service experience is preferred, but transferable technical skills are accepted.
- 2Valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting NCR Atleos fleet requirements.
- 3PC skills, basic electronic skills, and operating system familiarity, including Windows and Linux.
- 4A+ Certification, CompTIA, or Network+ (N+) preferred.
- 5Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software is a plus.
- 6Must be at least 19 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- 7Ability to lift and carry tools and parts up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- 8Willingness to work rotating and weekend shifts, with prolonged driving per day.
