Field Clinical Specialist, TMTT (LA & West Area)
Overview
Own clinical support for Sapien M3 transcatheter mitral valve replacement cases across LA County and the Western region. You will work inside the TMTT business unit, pairing with sales teams to drive therapy adoption. Your guidance will help physicians master device handling and implantation, directly impacting patient outcomes. This role demands adaptability and a long-term focus as you cross-train on future therapies. You will be the on-site expert during implants, turning complex procedures into confident, successful outcomes.
What You'll Do8
- 1Educate physicians on Sapien M3 device handling, implantation, and troubleshooting during implants.
- 2Coordinate one-on-one training sessions and in-service education programs in hospital environments.
- 3Provide clinical instructions to medical staff covering the full continuum of patient care.
- 4Identify therapy adoption opportunities with sales reps and managers in local geographies.
- 5Serve as the designated expert on TMTT products, training hospital staff on device use.
- 6Guide real-time clinical implants, preparing contingency plans for unforeseen events.
- 7Document procedural case observations for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- 8Collaborate with product development teams to relay feedback on device features and new designs.
Requirements9
- 1Associate's degree in a related field with 7+ years of medical device or clinical experience.
- 2Medical device industry experience or equivalent based on Edwards criteria.
- 3Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 4Willingness to travel 65-75% (car, air, overnight).
- 5Experience in interventional cardiology or cardiac cath lab setting.
- 6Clinical experience in CV Sonography (RDCS/RDS), Nursing (NP/RN/BSN/MSN), Physician Assistant (PA-C), or Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/CVT/RTR/RCES/CST).
- 7Interventional echo-navigation imaging expertise with 2D/3D TEE MPR and CT-imaging experience.
- 8Cardiac surgery experience or clinical engineering experience supporting clinical development and case support.
- 9Strong knowledge in cardiovascular science and valvular heart disease processes.
Salary Insight
$142 - $171k per year
