Family Engagement Coordinator, Community & Events for Autism Services
Overview
Own family engagement and community partnerships at a local autism nonprofit, affecting learners and families at scale. Lead events, clinics, sponsorships, and social media to strengthen the organization’s community footprint. Collaborate with staff, vendors, and partners to deliver inclusive, age-appropriate activities that reflect AIA’s brand. This role blends program development with hands-on execution and requires creative, organized self-starters who can translate ideas into events.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build annual family engagement calendar and plan monthly and seasonal clinic events
- 2Design and execute parent and family programs, activities, and events that increase participation
- 3Coordinate event logistics including vendors, entertainers, decorations, supplies, setup, and cleanup
- 4Develop sponsorship opportunities and cultivate community partnerships
- 5Assist with social media content and brand-aligned communications to highlight activities and partnerships
- 6Create promotional materials and coordinated reminders for events and family activities
- 7Capture and organize photos/videos per policy and permissions
- 8Maintain consistent AIA brand and public image across all materials
- 9Track inventory and budget for events while ensuring timely execution
- 10Develop and implement feedback loops to improve engagement opportunities
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in event planning, marketing, communications, or community relations preferred
- 3Experience working with children or families preferred
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- 6Creative and energetic with comfort interacting with diverse stakeholders
- 7Ability to independently develop and execute projects
- 8Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- 9Comfort with social media and basic design tools
- 10Part-time: 15–20 hours per week with occasional evenings or weekends
