Facility Custodian QES
Overview
The Facility Custodian oversees cleanliness safety and upkeep of manufacturing facilities and office spaces. This self starter manages independent tasks with minimal supervision supporting daily operations. Physical activity required during 8–10 hour shifts adhering to company policies including drug screening and background checks. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a strong plus.
What You'll Do16
- 1Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing facility including floors carpets rugs windows and walls
- 2Clean office spaces breakrooms lunchroom areas and restrooms
- 3Empty trash and recycling bins remove facility waste and debris
- 4Break down pallets and boxes for disposal or recycling
- 5Operate industrial floor cleaners scrubbers and power washers
- 6Sweep mop and vacuum floors across all facility areas
- 7Disinfect commonly used items such as desks door handles office tools and phones
- 8Maintain outdoor grounds picking up trash in parking lots and surrounding areas
- 9Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
- 10Clean and maintain restrooms including windows and mirrors
- 11Dust furniture and fixtures throughout the facility
- 12Monitor and maintain cleaning inventory placing orders for supplies as needed
- 13Utilize appropriate cleaning products and understand when to use them
- 14Follow Material Safety Data Sheets for safe handling of chemicals
- 15Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns
- 16Demonstrate strong communication skills while coordinating tasks and reporting issues
Requirements9
- 1Proven working experience as a janitor or facility custodian
- 2Knowledge of cleaning chemicals supplies and proper usage
- 3Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets MSDS
- 4Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- 5Strong work ethic integrity and reliability
- 6Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs as needed
- 7Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 8–10 hour shifts
- 8Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- 9Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus
