Facilities Cleaning Technician, Healthcare & Infection Control
Overview
Copa Health is hiring a Facilities Cleaning Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment across multiple clinics and sites. You will perform routine, deep, and urgent cleaning in restrooms, offices, kitchens, residential spaces, and common areas. This role requires independence, attention to detail, and adherence to infection control standards. You will support move-in/out cleanings and coordinate schedules to minimize disruption while following safety regulations.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning plans and execute deep cleaning tasks
- 2Disinfect restrooms, offices, common areas, kitchens, and residential spaces
- 3Follow infection control and outbreak-response cleaning protocols
- 4Handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste per safety regulations
- 5Maintain janitorial equipment, storage areas, and supplies
- 6Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or sanitation concerns
- 7Support move-in/out cleanings and room turnovers
- 8Coordinate cleaning schedules to minimize disruption and maintain privacy
- 9Respond to urgent or special cleaning needs as required
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 2At least 1 year of janitorial, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred
- 3Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 8 weeks of hire
- 4Ability to reliably report to and travel between assigned work sites
- 5Ability to safely perform physical job duties including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and repetitive motion
