You join a lean team of 5+ experienced movers, working on a 1099 contractor basis with cash pay after each job. This role demands physical strength, reliability, and a professional attitude toward customers and their belongings. What You'll Do8
- 1Safely load and unload household and commercial items, using proper lifting techniques to protect furniture and property.
- 2Disassemble and reassemble furniture on site, using tools like wrenches and screwdrivers.
- 3Navigate and travel within a 2-hour radius of Orlando, ensuring on-time arrival for scheduled moves.
- 4Secure items in the truck with straps and pads, preventing damage during transit.
- 5Communicate clearly with customers, explaining the process and addressing any concerns throughout the move.
- 6Work as a cohesive team, coordinating lifts and carrying strategies for oversized items.
- 7Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing the company in every customer interaction.
- 8Collect cash payment upon job completion and verify job details before departure.
Requirements7
- 12+ years proven experience in the moving industry.
- 2Physically capable of lifting 100+ pounds and working long hours on your feet.
- 3Reliable transportation to reach job sites within 1-2 hours of Orlando.
- 4Valid government-issued ID for legal work eligibility.
