Mover, Experienced Household & Commercial Moving
Overview
You will safely pack, load, and unload household and commercial items for Metro Wide Movers, a fully licensed and insured company in Kansas City. You'll own the physical move from start to finish, using equipment like dollies, shoulder straps, and forearm straps to protect belongings and prevent damage. Your team handles 20-30 moves per week, often in tight spaces and multi-story buildings. This role offers flexible scheduling, full-time or part-time hours, and pay based on verifiable experience.
What You'll Do6
- 1Safely load and unload household or commercial items using dollies, shoulder straps, and forearm straps with proper lifting techniques.
- 2Pack belongings securely with appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- 3Move furniture and heavy items, including maneuvering in tight spaces and up staircases.
- 4Load and unload trucks efficiently, placing items accurately according to the route plan.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized work area during packing and loading processes.
- 6Communicate clearly with clients about their move, addressing any concerns promptly.
Requirements6
- 11+ years verifiable moving experience with a professional moving company.
- 2Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods.
- 3Strong customer service skills for positive client interactions.
- 4Familiarity with moving equipment: forearm straps, shoulder straps, and hand trucks.
- 5Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- 6Must pass a background check; people with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.
