- 1Lead facility requirements development with DSS and Service Delivery Executive Director
- 2Develop the KP Architectural Design Studio with the VP
- 3Ensure planning solutions align with industry best practices
- 4Maintain planning and design tools reflecting healthcare design standards
- 5Integrate core values into facility planning with hospitals and health plan leadership
- 6Provide risk mitigation strategies for facilities and projects
- 7Support compliance with California SB 1953 and AHJ regulations
- 8Advance energy and water conservation targets
- 9Drive active living initiatives and reduce chemical exposures
- 10Partner with regional committees for capital planning options
- 11Improve productivity and reduce project costs through best practices
- 12Embed process improvement across planning and design workflows
- 13Build relationships with internal customers and address satisfaction issues
- 14Enforce consistent use of Facilities Design Standards Program
- 15Develop facilities planning curriculum and training programs
- 16Manage accounting and control functions for NFDC
- 17Set and maintain strategic direction for NFDC business units
- 18Conduct critical planning and design risk assessments
- 19Review complex projects for potential claims and litigation
- 20Knowledge of healthcare industry and Kaiser Permanente operations
- 21Lead ownership representative duties when necessary
Requirements12
- 1Minimum fifteen years of experience in large-scale planning and design capital projects with ten years in management or operations
- 2Bachelor's degree in architecture engineering planning design or construction management
- 3Architect License from any state
- 4Critical planning and design risk assessment experience
- 5Strong understanding of healthcare industry and Kaiser Permanente operations
- 6Proven strategic planning and visionary leadership abilities
- 7Demonstrated leadership and team motivation skills
- 8Experience as an owner representative preferred but not required
- 9Exceptional ability to foresee problems in complex projects
- 10Commitment to diversity partnership and quality service delivery
- 11Understanding of California Senate Bill 1953 and AHJ regulations
