Overview

Own condition monitoring and fleet performance for Yancey Bros., Georgia's authorized Caterpillar dealer, driving uptime and cost reduction for customers across the state. Lead a team of condition monitoring analysts and manage the P&L for monitoring operations. Partner with digital solutions to implement scalable support models and define next-generation fleet management tools. Report directly to executive leadership and influence product support strategy. What You'll Do10

  • 1Own P&L and cost center performance for condition monitoring, deliver executive-level reporting, and represent Yancey on dealer advisory boards.
  • 2Build and mentor a team of condition monitoring analysts, setting clear career development plans and fostering a trusting, high-performance culture.
  • 3Lead condition monitoring operations by analyzing telematics, GPS, and IoT sensor data to predict failures and reduce customer downtime.
  • 4Interpret S•O•S fluid analysis results to identify engine or component wear and provide actionable maintenance recommendations.
  • 5Conduct in-person customer fleet reviews and deliver value discussions covering utilization, PM accuracy, repeat faults, and total cost avoidance.
  • 6Own the end-to-end connectivity strategy, including fleet audits, coverage, data hygiene, and customer adoption of VisionLink.
  • 7Manage VisionLink product ownership: user adoption, training, demos, onboarding, and continuous improvement.
  • 8Collaborate with IT, Insights, Service, Sales, and Marketing on digital solutions, defining KPIs and requirements for fleet management tools.
  • 9Drive cross-functional process improvements to reduce costs, improve work-in-progress management, and capture service revenue.
  • 10Shift customers to predictive maintenance by scheduling services based on real-time data, moving beyond reactive repairs.

Requirements9

  • 15+ years in heavy equipment management, maintenance, or repair.
  • 22+ years of leadership experience with strategic planning and team motivation.
  • 3Bachelor's degree in technical or business field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4Comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment systems including hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems.
  • 5Experience with telematics platforms such as VisionLink or JDLink, and data tools like PowerBI.
  • 6Experience with CRM systems like Dynamics CRM.
  • 7Strong consulting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to present to executive leadership.
  • 8Ability to interpret telematics data and create actionable reports on fleet performance and maintenance.
  • 9Willing to travel up to 20% within a designated region and work on-site at customer locations.
