Equipment Delivery Driver, CDL A & Hazmat Endorsement
Overview
You will own the safe, DOT-compliant transport of material handling and floor cleaning equipment across customer sites in the Minneapolis area, operating Class A CDL commercial vehicles. You will report to the Logistics team, working alongside Service and Sales to ensure on-time delivery and equipment functionality. This role stands out for its Hazmat Endorsement requirement and the chance to work with a 77-year-old industry leader.
What You'll Do9
- 1Operate DOT-regulated commercial vehicles to deliver and pick up forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers.
- 2Load, secure, and unload equipment using forklift and strapping safety procedures.
- 3Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including hours of service, and pass pre-trip inspections.
- 4Communicate delivery timelines and issues to customers and internal departments like Logistics and Service.
- 5Inspect delivered equipment for cleanliness and functionality, and perform battery installation and removal.
- 6Recover non-running equipment using tow truck and winch operations.
- 7Obtain required signatures and delivery confirmations for every shipment.
- 8Address customer questions about delivered equipment within your scope.
- 9Support the company's vision, mission, and values in daily operations.
Requirements9
- 1Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
- 2Clean driving record meeting Company and insurance standards.
- 3Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics.
- 41-3 years of experience delivering material handling or construction equipment.
- 5Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
- 6Pass DOT medical exam and drug/alcohol testing.
- 7Strong communication skills for customer service and team coordination.
- 8Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- 9Basic PC skills for documentation and communication.
