Entry Level Fleet Mechanic
Overview
You will perform routine preventive maintenance on company trucks and vehicles at South Coast Resolutions in Charlotte, NC. You will handle oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication while inspecting brakes, tires, batteries, belts, hoses, and lights. You will assist experienced mechanics with diagnostics and basic repairs, working independently or in a team. This role offers paid training to develop into a skilled fleet technician, with a starting pay of $24.50 - $29.51 per hour and benefits including 401(k) and health insurance.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform preventive maintenance on company trucks and vehicles, including oil changes and fluid checks.
- 2Inspect brakes, tires, batteries, and hoses for wear and damage.
- 3Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using basic diagnostic equipment.
- 4Replace filters and belts following manufacturer schedules.
- 5Lubricate chassis and suspension components as needed.
- 6Report unsafe components to management and document repairs.
- 7Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and vehicles.
- 8Communicate vehicle condition and repair needs to supervisors.
Requirements8
- 11+ year of automotive or mechanical experience (preferred but not required).
- 2Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- 3Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- 4Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- 5Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- 6Attention to detail and dependable attendance.
- 7Ability to work independently and in a team.
- 8Technical training in automotive or diesel is a plus.
