Entry Level Construction Project Manager Raleigh NC
Overview
Manage residential construction projects from pre-construction to final completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely on schedule within budget while maintaining client communication and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience and a proactive approach to problem solving.
What You'll Do15
- 1Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from contract execution through closeout
- 2Develop and maintain project schedules budgets and timelines
- 3Coordinate with homeowners architects engineers inspectors and subcontractors
- 4Schedule and oversee subcontractors suppliers and company crews
- 5Conduct site visits to monitor progress workmanship safety and quality control
- 6Identify potential project risks and implement solutions
- 7Review plans specifications permits and construction documents for accuracy
- 8Manage project budgets approve invoices and monitor costs
- 9Process change orders with owner approval before additional work begins
- 10Maintain detailed project documentation including daily logs meeting notes schedules and correspondence
- 11Communicate project updates regularly with clients and company leadership
- 12Ensure compliance with building codes OSHA safety standards and company policies
- 13Coordinate inspections and obtain required approvals throughout construction
- 14Resolve jobsite issues customer concerns and scheduling conflicts professionally
- 15Complete project closeout documentation punch lists warranties and final walkthroughs
Requirements14
- 1Minimum 1-2 years construction experience
- 2Understanding of construction methods building codes and project sequencing
- 3Strong carpentry and general handyman skills for minor finish work
- 4Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and construction drawings
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- 7Experience managing plumbing mechanical electrical or general contracting projects
- 8Knowledge of estimating budgeting and excel spreadsheets
- 9Willingness to perform minor construction tasks such as installing bathroom accessories mirrors towel bars toilet paper holders robe hooks and shelving
- 10Skills in minor drywall repairs patching sanding and touch-up preparation
- 11Experience with caulking sealing and paint touch-ups
- 12Ability to adjust doors cabinets drawers and hardware for proper operation
- 13Assistance with appliance installation and final fixture placement
- 14Basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure excellent project delivery
