Engineering Specialist - Kitchen Mechanic
Overview
We seek an Engineering Specialist – Kitchen & Refrigeration Mechanic II to lead critical repair maintenance and preventive services for commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems across our property. This technical role demands deep mechanical expertise and hands-on experience with cooking and refrigeration equipment while delivering reliable solutions with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do8
- 1Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes to resolve issues promptly
- 2Repair or replace compressors thermostats pressure stats fans motors belts pulleys wiring and other mechanical or electrical components
- 3Service evaporators condensers receivers and valves including lubrication coil cleaning and filter replacement
- 4Safely reassemble and test equipment following repairs to ensure optimal function and compliance with performance standards
- 5Follow all safety protocols wear required personal protective equipment and proactively report safety concerns
- 6Maintain detailed service records and collaborate with Engineering leadership to support hotel operations and minimize downtime
- 7Respond promptly to service requests and guest-related equipment issues ensuring high level of satisfaction
- 8Participate in required trainings attend scheduled meetings and remain flexible to work varied shifts based on operational needs
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in hospitality engineering
- 3EPA Certification required
- 4Valid state driver’s license
- 5Strong computer skills including basic familiarity with Windows-based systems
- 6Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
- 7Proficient English communication with team members leaders and guests
- 8Experience with commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment
- 9Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and regulatory standards
