Overview

You will own the full customer journey for residential solar and efficiency upgrades, from initial home evaluation to program enrollment. You will work with National Renewables to qualify homeowners for federal and state benefits, replacing outdated lighting with LED upgrades and installing smart thermostats to cut energy waste. You will collaborate with utility companies, local government, and HOA boards to fast-track net metering approvals. This role offers paid training and a clear path to team leadership, with uncapped earnings potential.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Conduct door-to-door home energy evaluations in qualifying neighborhoods, identifying opportunities for LED lighting, smart thermostat installation, and attic restorations.
  • 2Build a customized energy report for each homeowner, showing projected savings and available federal and state rebates.
  • 3Facilitate appointments between homeowners and our technical consultants, ensuring a smooth handoff with documented findings.
  • 4Work with HOA boards and utility partners to secure net metering approvals and program participation agreements.
  • 5Log all evaluations and outcomes in our CRM, tracking lead status and conversion metrics for weekly team reviews.
  • 6Educate homeowners on the long-term financial benefits of energy efficiency, addressing cost and ROI objections.
  • 7Coordinate with installation crews to schedule retrofit work and confirm customer satisfaction after completion.

Requirements7

  • 11+ years in door-to-door sales, field marketing, or residential energy consulting (preferred).
  • 2Ability to walk neighborhoods and conduct home energy assessments for up to 8 hours per day.
  • 3Strong verbal communication skills for engaging homeowners and explaining technical concepts in simple terms.
  • 4Self-motivated with a track record of meeting daily appointment quotas.
  • 5High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in energy or business is a plus.
  • 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel within the service area.
  • 7Aptitude for using mobile apps and CRM tools to document field data.
