Employee Benefits Analyst, Client Services
Overview
You own daily client support for employee health and welfare benefits across a portfolio of regional, national, and Fortune 1000 accounts. You collaborate with Producers, Strategic Account Executives, and Financial Consultants to ensure alignment with strategic partnership goals. You manage open enrollment, compliance audits, and carrier issue resolution. This role stands out for its direct client interaction and the chance to influence benefit strategy. You will use BenefitPoint and MS Office to track activity and drive outcomes. You ensure compliance with ACA, Medicare Part D, and ERISA while coordinating vendor relationships.
What You'll Do10
- 1Create and update client activity logs for all assigned accounts.
- 2Coordinate plan audits and review plan documents including insurance contracts, amendments, and Summary Plan Descriptions to ensure compliance.
- 3Review and complete renewal checklists for assigned clients.
- 4Complete the MMA compliance checklist with support from the Compliance Department and review with the client.
- 5Interpret plan documents to answer client questions with minimal input.
- 6Proactively manage all Open Enrollment activities, including drafting communications using templated documents.
- 7Organize and conduct virtual or onsite Open Enrollment meetings for employees.
- 8Set up and maintain client contacts and mailing lists in BenefitPoint and create online folders for all clients.
- 9Coordinate special projects like dependent eligibility audits, claim audits, and benefits statements.
- 10Manage carrier issue resolution for disputed claims, billing, and eligibility, and track stop loss reimbursements.
Requirements9
- 12-4 years client service experience in benefits brokerage, consulting, or administration.
- 2Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3Life and Health License preferred, or obtain within 90 days of employment.
- 4Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- 5Proficiency with Canva for communication materials.
- 6Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and maintain positive relationships.
- 7Strong organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- 8Effective presentation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- 9Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
