Overview

Lead emergency department nursing operations overseeing patient care across multiple units. This role requires strategic leadership and clinical excellence within a high-volume 65-bed facility. Responsibilities include managing staff resources and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Design and implement clinical workflows that improve patient throughput and satisfaction
  • 2Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching and professional development initiatives
  • 3Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system
  • 4Conduct assessments and order point-of-care tests as needed
  • 5Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • 6Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards
  • 7Develop training programs for new hires and existing staff
  • 8Analyze clinical data to identify areas for process improvement
  • 9Implement quality assurance measures to enhance patient safety
  • 10Manage floating assignments and day rotation schedules
  • 11Participate in shift coverage planning and resource allocation

Requirements10

  • 15+ years Emergency Department nursing experience
  • 22 years Emergency Nursing certification required
  • 3AHA Certified BLS ACLS PALS NRP & TNCC certifications preferred
  • 4License verification and credential validation
  • 5Medical clearance and health statement submission
  • 6Background check clearance including sex offender registry
  • 7Respiratory protection fit test completed
  • 8Tetanus immunization records available
  • 9Certification in medication administration and advanced dysrhythmia management
  • 10TB screening and symptom survey completion if indicated
