Embedded Software Engineer, C/C++ & Linux for Space Systems
Overview
Own embedded software for satellite platforms and ground systems at scale. You will contribute to real time, reliable systems that endure harsh space environments. You will work on C/C++ embedded firmware, Linux based applications, and FreeRTOS, collaborating with a cross functional team of engineers. This role lives on the Advanced Electronics team, focused on design, integration, and deployment of robust spaceborne solutions. What You'll Do5
- 1Build and integrate embedded and system test software in C/C++ alongside Python
- 2Develop and deploy Linux OS applications and FreeRTOS applications in C/C++
- 3Lead design reviews and documentation tasks in an Agile SCRUM environment
- 4Debug complex integration issues across microprocessors, embedded processors, and FPGAs
- 5Design CI/CD infrastructure and automation services to improve product reliability and security
Requirements5
- 1Minimum 5+ years building C/C++ software for embedded systems
- 2Experience with multi-threaded applications and inter process communication on real time platforms
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience
- 4US Citizenship required
- 5Experience with Linux kernel driver development or RTOS platforms
