What You'll Do24
- 1Build lesson plans aligned with Archdiocese of Washington Academic and Religious Standards using Spark and Airflow
- 2Utilize test scores and assessments to adjust lesson plans and inform instruction
- 3Plan learner-based lessons addressing diverse student needs
- 4Deliver balanced instruction incorporating direct instruction and hands-on activities
- 5Administer formal and informal assessments to measure instructional objectives
- 6Assign individual and group work including lectures discussions and discovery
- 7Administer quizzes and tests to ensure mastery of content
- 8Establish classroom procedures optimizing instructional time
- 9Create and enforce clear rules fostering positive Catholic learning environment
- 10Maintain grade book reflecting student progress and communicate with parents
- 11Post updated homework and project information to grade book portal
- 12Use email notes and phone calls to inform parents of student progress
- 13Hold parent conferences for academic or behavior intervention
- 14Produce quarterly progress reports and report cards
- 15Foster Catholic beliefs traditions and social justice teachings
- 16Assist in planning liturgical ceremonies and lead classroom prayer
- 17Teach religion classes aligning with ADW standards
- 18Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies as required
- 19Perform substitute teaching during required periods
- 20Sponsor clubs and school activities
- 21Attend home and school meetings and after hour events
- 22Participate in faculty and professional development meetings
- 23Obtain Maryland Virginia or District of Columbia certification within three years
- 24Obtain required religious certification
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in education
- 3Bachelor’s degree
- 4Current teacher certification in Maryland Virginia or DC
- 5Knowledge of child development and supervision
- 6Experience teaching in elementary school setting preferred
- 7Religious certification as required
