Overview
NCS seeks a passionate teacher to lead our K-8 program fostering intellectual social and emotional growth for diverse learners including autistic scholars and students with IEPs. What You'll Do11
- 1Build relationships collaborate with co-teachers to improve classroom practices and align with school mission
- 2Communicate high expectations and standards reinforcing behavior and academic performance within our culture
- 3Cultivate strong classroom communities with students and families
- 4Plan and deliver rigorous instruction across large and small groups solicit feedback and reflect on teaching experiences
- 5Maintain secure effective learning environments with clear expectations and routines
- 6Provide meaningful feedback and multiple attempts for student learning
- 7Measure achievement using assessments drive academic outcomes through data analysis and instructional adjustments
- 8Participate in state-wide testing including accommodations for NYS ELA and Math exams and alternate assessments
- 9Differentiate instruction for individual needs leveraging school resources to engage and challenge all scholars
- 10Develop and implement IEPs and behavior plans with staff and families
- 11Partner with families through communication to support educational objectives and behavioral standards
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in education
- 3Bachelor’s degree required NYS Teaching Certification preferred
- 4One year teaching experience in urban settings preferred
- 5Knowledge of high-functioning autism spectrum disorders preferred
- 65+ years developing inclusive practices for diverse learners
- 7Strong communication skills to build trust with families and colleagues
- 8Growth mindset and willingness to embrace feedback
- 9Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion
- 10Ability to analyze data and adjust instruction accordingly
- 11Experience with special education and IEP implementation
