What You'll Do9
- 1Diagnose and treat complex arrhythmias using EP studies, ablation, and device implantation within the first 90 days.
- 2Lead the electrophysiology lab operations, coordinating with nursing and technical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- 3Interpret ECGs, Holter monitors, and electrophysiology mapping data to guide treatment plans.
- 4Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices with follow-up programming and interrogation.
- 5Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and other specialists to develop comprehensive care plans for complex cases.
- 6Participate in on-call coverage and hospital rounds, providing expert consultation for inpatient and outpatient services.
- 7Build a thriving outpatient EP clinic, seeing 20-30 patients per week and growing referral networks.
- 8Mentor cardiology fellows and residents, sharing expertise in advanced EP procedures and mapping technologies.
- 9Contribute to practice growth by presenting at community events and establishing relationships with primary care physicians.
Requirements10
- 1Board certified in cardiology with experience in electrophysiology, or a board eligible EP fellow.
- 2Active and clear Texas medical license or ability to obtain one.
- 3Experience with EP mapping systems such as Carto or NavX.
- 4Proficiency in ablation techniques for AFib, VT, and SVTs.
- 5Ability to interpret complex electrophysiology studies and intracardiac tracings.
- 6Excellent communication skills for patient consultations and team collaboration.
- 7Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety in a hospital setting.
- 8Board eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology preferred.
- 9Experience with cardiac device management including ICDs, pacemakers, and CRTs.
- 10Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of fellowship in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.
