
Electronics Engineer, Advanced Sensing & Communications
Overview
Own the electronics design for advanced sensing and communications platforms at a premier technology team. You will architect and refine embedded systems and FPGA-based solutions for underwater maritime and electromechanical initiatives. Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of PCB designers and firmware engineers to ship rugged, mission-critical hardware. This role offers direct ownership of complex projects and a clear pathway to technical leadership, with 5+ years of experience required.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and develop embedded systems for sensor platforms, owning board-level schematics and layout reviews.
- 2Implement FPGA logic for signal processing and data acquisition, meeting performance and power targets.
- 3Debug and validate analog and digital circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- 4Lead hardware bring-up and integration testing with firmware and software teams.
- 5Drive design-for-manufacturing and support PCB fabrication and assembly.
- 6Document design specifications and test procedures for certification compliance.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of experience in electronics design, with a focus on embedded systems.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3Proficiency in FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog) and microcontroller interfacing.
- 4Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium).
- 5Knowledge of signal integrity and EMI/EMC standards.
- 6Experience with underwater or maritime systems is a plus.
- 7Citizenship required for federal contract compliance.
