Electro-Optical Space Data Network Payload Systems Engineer
Overview
Establish ownership of EST payload integration for laser communications on SDN satellites and other government systems. Advise customers on compliance with technical requirements. Lead technical experts within Aerospace ETG to mitigate risks. Ensure cross‑SDN collaboration and client trust. Serve as key member of EST payload engineering team.
What You'll Do5
- 1Serve as EST program’s lead electro‑optic payload integrator to support laser communication payload integration on SDN satellites and government systems.
- 2Advise SDN government customers on developing, assessing, and evaluating compliance with key technical requirements.
- 3Lead a diverse team of technical experts within Aerospace ETG to manage and mitigate technical risks throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- 4Establish and maintain confidence and trust with government customers.
- 5Present results, concepts, and technical content to internal and external stakeholders with diverse technical backgrounds.
Requirements5
- 1Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering physical science or related technical degree.
- 2Minimum 8 or more years of engineering experience including systems engineering or program management environments.
- 3Demonstrate excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
- 4Willing to travel domestically approximately 20%.
- 5Security Clearance: Top Secret/SSBI/Science Security Investigations clearance required to interview with ability to obtain additional clearances.
