Electrician, Commercial Construction & Low-Voltage Systems Columbus
Overview
Electrical professionals will own hands on installations and troubleshooting on active commercial sites at scale. You will work with EMT conduit, wiring, and low‑voltage systems under on site leadership. Collaborate with foreman and crew in a safety focused environment. This role offers consistent evening work and exposure to diverse commercial installations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and install EMT conduit and wire routing for commercial projects
- 2Read blueprints and electrical schematics to plan installations and sequencing
- 3Install, wire, and commission electrical panels and switchgear on site
- 4Assist with low‑voltage connections and systems per project scope
- 5Troubleshoot electrical systems, identify issues, and implement repairs
- 6Pull, route, and terminate wiring to project specifications
- 7Coordinate with team members and foreman to meet deadlines and quality standards
- 8Follow all safety procedures and site rules on construction projects
- 9Perform miscellaneous electrical tasks as directed by the foreman
- 10Maintain clean work area and document progress for project records
Requirements10
- 1At least 3 years of commercial electrical experience
- 2Proficiency with EMT conduit installation in ¾, 1, 1 ½, and 2 sizes
- 3Strong experience pulling and terminating electrical wire and cable
- 4Ability to read and work from blueprints and electrical schematics
- 5Hands on experience with construction site electrical work
- 6Skill in installing and wiring switchgear and electrical panels
- 7Competence in troubleshooting electrical systems and resolving issues
- 8Familiarity with low‑voltage electrical work
- 9OSHA 10 certification is a plus
- 10Ability to follow directions from a foreman and work effectively as part of a crew
