What You'll Do11
- 1Learn estimating processes and apply them consistently across projects
- 2Review bids and specifications to quantify electrical scope accurately
- 3Analyze construction documents to identify inconsistencies and submit RFIs
- 4Identify bid advantages and value engineering opportunities
- 5Perform job walks to assess field conditions impacting bids
- 6Obtain vendor quotes and analyze pricing terms delivery options
- 7Input take-off data into estimating software and prepare proposals
- 8Assemble final estimates for client review and submission
- 9Attend weekly estimating meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- 10Follow awarded contracts handling additional work and change orders
- 11Track bidding metrics to support performance analysis
Requirements9
- 12-7 years estimating sales and project management experience in commercial and industrial electrical trades
- 2Proficiency with NEC and familiarity with Texas electrical codes
- 3Strong quantitative analysis and attention to detail
- 4Experience with Microsoft Office BlueBeam and estimating software
- 5Valid Texas driver’s license clean driving record
- 6High school diploma or equivalent
- 7Ability to pass drug test background and reference checks
- 8Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- 9Experience with vendor negotiations and contract administration
