Electrical Designer, Power Generation & MicroStation
Overview
Lead electrical design for advanced power generation projects. You will own 2D and 3D electrical deliverables, including duct bank, cable tray, grounding, and lighting systems, for complex facilities in the power providers market. Working within the Virtual Design & Data Solutions group, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and apply advanced engineering design principles under minimal supervision. This role stands apart by combining technical leadership with hands-on design, using Bentley MicroStation and AGI32. Your work directly impacts critical infrastructure projects, from concept through delivery.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead electrical design deliverables for Advanced Power Generation projects, including duct bank, cable tray, grounding, and lighting systems.
- 2Create and modify 2D and 3D models using Bentley MicroStation and related tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- 3Perform lighting design calculations and illumination modeling using AGI32 to meet facility requirements.
- 4Coordinate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project models.
- 5Supervise and guide engineering technicians, reviewing their work for quality and consistency.
- 6Plan, track, and manage design tasks to meet project schedules and budget constraints.
- 7Develop and implement standardized procedures for digital design and documentation within the team.
- 8Apply advanced electrical engineering design principles to solve complex challenges in power generation facilities.
Requirements9
- 115+ years of related work experience in electrical design or a closely related field.
- 2Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology.
- 3Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering design principles as applied to power generation facilities.
- 4Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and other Bentley design tools for creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings.
- 5Experience in duct bank design, including routing and configuration.
- 6Experience in cable tray design, including layout and sizing.
- 7Experience in grounding system design for power generation facilities.
- 8Experience in lighting design for industrial or power generation environments.
- 9Ability to work under minimal supervision while delivering high-quality technical work.
