
Electrical BIM Modeler - System One San Jose CA
Overview
We seek a motivated Electrical BIM Modeler with one year experience to create accurate electrical BIM models for commercial residential industrial and institutional projects in San Jose and Sacramento. This full-time role offers DOE salary ranging from $60,000 to $95,000 annually. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality construction documentation and coordinated BIM models.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit
- 2Create electrical layouts power plans lighting plans and low-voltage system models
- 3Coordinate electrical systems with architectural structural mechanical and plumbing disciplines
- 4Participate in BIM coordination meetings and perform clash detection using Navisworks
- 5Produce construction drawings and documentation from BIM models
- 6Ensure BIM models comply with project standards client requirements and company BIM protocols
- 7Update models to reflect design revisions and field changes
- 8Maintain organized project files and documentation
- 9Support engineers and project managers throughout the design and construction process
Requirements13
- 15+ years building electrical BIM pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 21 year experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler Electrical Revit Modeler or similar role
- 3Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP
- 4Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
- 5Understanding of electrical systems including power distribution lighting fire alarm and low-voltage systems
- 6Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications
- 7Familiarity with BIM standards and coordination workflows
- 8Strong attention to detail organizational skills and communication abilities
- 9Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- 10Associate's degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology Drafting BIM or related field
- 11Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus
- 12Knowledge of the California Electrical Code CEC and National Electrical Code NEC is preferred
- 13Experience with commercial healthcare education or industrial projects is advantageous
