Electrical Area Foreman
Overview
Area Foreman monitors and documents work area progress ensuring quality and quantity of work performed by job crew. Serves as liaison between superintendent and workforce. Provides guidance on plans specifications and job folders. Coordinates daily assignments and communicates updates from superintendent.
What You'll Do15
- 1Plan and direct daily work of job crew employees with superintendents
- 2Maintain familiarity with plans specifications and contract scope
- 3Attend coordination meetings and provide required information
- 4Receive and review weekly job assignments
- 5Prepare sketches and detailed material lists for assignments
- 6Monitor and document job progress using appropriate forms
- 7Provide accurate information from superintendent to workforce
- 8Communicate company policies and procedures to crew
- 9Apply National Electrical Codes as needed
- 10Order daily materials and follow up on backorders
- 11Manage tool control for assigned site locations
- 12Track employee work time and assist with timecard coding
- 13Be available for team questions
- 14Ensure proper site cleanup at end of each workday
- 15Maintain compliance with job safety standards
Requirements11
- 1Minimum four years electrical construction experience
- 2Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes
- 3Thorough understanding of construction technology equipment methods
- 4Basic math operations proficiency for calculations
- 5Excellent English communication skills
- 6High school diploma or GED
- 7Bilingual Journeyman License
- 8Indentured apprenticeship completion
- 9OSHA 10 certification
- 10Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds
- 11Ability to stand walk bend kneel climb and move objects
