Overview
Loretto Hospital seeks a dedicated Emergency Department Technician to provide courteous service and support patient care under RN supervision. This role emphasizes public relations professional attitudes and adherence to hospital policies.
What You'll Do11
- 1Provides courteous service to patients visitors staff physicians and other internal external customers
- 2Accepts or responds to change promoting departmental hospital goals
- 3Responds to departmental needs through additional assignments and assistance
- 4Maintains desk handling order entry charges ordering supplies and telephone etiquette
- 5Transports patients lab specimens and other as assigned
- 6Follows emergency infection control procedures
- 7Promptly responds to patient needs demonstrating ability to manage patients of all ages
- 8Complies with Loretto Hospital’s compliance standards code of conduct conflict of interest policy
- 9Keeps abreast of federal state and hospital regulations laws and policies
- 10Supports team members ensuring continuity of services
- 11Adheres to physical demands including sitting standing walking stooping kneeling crouching
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2EMT B EMT P PCTPA or CNA certification
- 3Six months Emergency Department experience preferred
- 4CPI and Team Restraints
- 5Normal or corrected vision hearing ability to speak specific vision abilities close vision sharp eye focus ability to distinguish colors
- 6Ability to perform stressful intense concentration with average pressure in problem solving situations
