Overview

Lead the Early College program at Carolinas College of Health Sciences, owned by Atrium Health, and shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. What You'll Do9

  • 1Supervise faculty, including recruitment, workload assignment, and performance evaluation, within the first 90 days.
  • 2Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources align with program goals.
  • 3Design and implement curriculum for A&P, BIO, CHEM, PSY, ENG, PHI, and SOC courses.
  • 4Direct learning outcomes assessment across college curricula and compile accreditation reports for SACSCOC and other bodies.
  • 5Initiate and maintain clinical affiliations with partners like Atrium Health and Hawthorne Academy.
  • 6Chair regular faculty meetings and assign workloads based on expertise and student needs.
  • 7Monitor program resource needs and oversee acquisition and maintenance of instructional materials.
  • 8Teach courses in your discipline while fulfilling administrative leadership duties.
  • 9Represent the college at regional and national meetings to advance program visibility.

Requirements8

  • 1Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline (A&P, BIO, CHEM, PSY, ENG, PHI, SOC).
  • 2Previous teaching experience at the college level required.
  • 3Management skills preferred for faculty supervision and budget oversight.
  • 4Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance.
  • 5Ability to verbalize subject knowledge in classroom presentations.
  • 6Mobility to access classrooms and offices within the school.
  • 7Commitment to working in a safe manner.
  • 8Ability to collaborate with external partners like Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Atrium Health.
