What You'll Do9
- 1Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom that meets NC DCDEE standards for child supervision and sanitation.
- 2Plan and execute age-appropriate learning activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- 3Build trusting relationships with parents through daily communication and family engagement.
- 4Document child progress and incident reports in compliance with state regulations.
- 5Maintain an organized, welcoming classroom that sparks curiosity and creativity.
- 6Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to align curriculum and daily routines.
- 7Complete all required training hours and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- 8Follow all Palmetto policies and uphold health and safety procedures.
- 9Model patience, dependability, and professionalism in every interaction.
Requirements6
- 118+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Pass NC Child Care Criminal Background Check and meet DCDEE requirements.
- 3Hold or obtain CPR and First Aid certification within the first 90 days.
- 4Complete NC DCDEE orientation and health and safety training.
- 5Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for parent and staff interactions.
- 6Physical ability to supervise and interact with young children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
