Driver/Mover, Residential & Commercial Moving
Overview
You own the safe transport of customer belongings as a Driver/Mover for residential and commercial moves in the Indianapolis area. You drive moving trucks, load and unload furniture and household goods, and pack items for transport. This role sits on a professional moving team that handles everything from single-item deliveries to full-house moves. The role stands out with paid training, performance bonuses, and weekend pay up to $29.00 per hour.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive company moving trucks to transport customer belongings for residential and commercial moves
- 2Load and unload furniture, appliances, boxes, and other household items
- 3Pack and protect customer items with padding and wraps to prevent damage during transport
- 4Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed at pickup and delivery locations
- 5Secure loads properly with straps and follow safe transportation procedures
- 6Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating clearly and handling items with care
- 7Work with team members to complete moves safely and on schedule
- 8Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company
Requirements9
- 1Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- 2Ability to obtain and pass Indiana For-Hire endorsement requirements
- 3Working smartphone required for job duties
- 4Ability to pass a background check
- 51+ years of experience in moving, labor, or a related field preferred
- 6Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding work
- 7Strong customer service and communication skills
- 8Reliable attendance and dependable work habits
- 9Attention to detail and commitment to protecting customer property
