Driver Recruiter, CDL Staffing Entry Level
Overview
You'll recruit CDL drivers and transportation support staff for a growing driver staffing company, connecting skilled drivers with short-term and temp-to-hire positions across Minneapolis. You'll own the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, background checks, and driver performance monitoring. You'll work onsite in Columbia Heights with a close-knit team, learning the staffing and transportation businesses from entry level. This role offers direct exposure to DOT regulations and ClearingHouse compliance, with a clear path to becoming a staffing specialist.
What You'll Do9
- 1Recruit CDL drivers and transportation support personnel, including forklift operators and general labor, for short-term and temp-to-hire positions.
- 2Screen driver backgrounds: check MVR reports, ClearingHouse drug and alcohol history, and E-Verify residency status.
- 3Act as a reliable conduit between clients and drivers, matching needs with driver availability.
- 4Monitor driver performance and reliability, providing feedback to improve retention.
- 5Learn and apply DOT regulations and compliance standards in daily recruitment operations.
- 6Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified drivers through outreach, networking, and referrals.
- 7Coordinate with clients to understand staffing needs and fill positions with the right drivers.
- 8Track recruitment metrics and driver placements to measure success.
- 9Support onboarding of new drivers, ensuring all documentation and clearances are complete.
