Door Machine Operator, Industrial Manufacturing & Onsite Role
Overview
Own the setup operation of door machinery for precise hinge placements on residential doors at scale. Work with the shop team to ensure quality and timely completion, maintaining the machine area and completing required paperwork. Collaborate with the Shop Manager on training and maintenance checklists. This role is onsite in Phoenix and involves hands-on machining, measurement, and safety practices.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build the door manufacturing process by running residential unit doors through a door machine to bore and route hinge placements
- 2Read tickets to determine job specifications and ensure alignment with customer requirements
- 3Maintain door machine area and keep workspace organized and safe
- 4Submit completed paperwork with dates to the Shop Manager and track job progress
- 5Complete assigned training and perform timely quality checks using standard maintenance checklists
- 6Operate and calibrate machines for different specifications and door types
- 7Assist with basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
- 8Use hand and power tools to assist in setup and adjustments
- 9Monitor quality and report issues to supervision
- 10Adhere to safety policies and ensure on-time delivery of door assemblies
Requirements10
- 1Must have prior door machine operating experience
- 2Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds
- 3Must be able to read a tape measure
- 4Must have at least 2 years of experience operating a door machine
- 5Must be able to read and speak English
- 6Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- 7Must have a functioning cell phone with internet capability
- 8General understanding of setting up and calibrating machines for different specifications
- 9Proficient in using hand and power tools
- 10Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
