District Credit Manager, Retail Credit Sales
Overview
Own credit performance for assigned Lowe's districts, driving DIY and Pro credit sales to hit targets for applications, sales, and penetration. Collaborate with district leadership and lending partners, coaching associates on credit-selling behaviors. This role demands strong relationship-building from store associates to district managers and relies on data analysis to spot credit opportunities and risks.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop and execute strategic credit plans with district leadership, hitting performance targets and reporting results.
- 2Coach and train store associates on credit-selling behaviors, building their confidence to offer Lowe's Credit in every transaction.
- 3Lead weekly calls and store walks to ensure locations are ready for promotional activities and new credit initiatives.
- 4Gather and share credit market intelligence to inform business decisions.
- 5Analyze local and territory performance using company reports and ad-hoc data to identify credit opportunities and emerging risks.
- 6Build and maintain relationships with district and regional field leaders, resolving credit issues as needed.
- 7Partner with lending providers to assess business risk, protect Lowe's reputation, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
- 8Identify, manage, and report control issues transparently.
Requirements7
- 17+ years of experience in retail operations, sales, or credit.
- 25-7 years of combined retail sales or credit experience in lieu of a degree and experience requirements.
- 3Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4Proven record of achieving credit sales and penetration targets.
- 5Strong coaching and training abilities to improve team performance.
- 6Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with partners at all levels.
- 7Experience analyzing sales data and using reporting tools to drive decisions.
