Overview
As a Dispensing Nurse at BAART Programs, you will administer daily medication to patients in an outpatient opioid treatment clinic, managing inventory and maintaining dispensing equipment. You will work alongside Physicians and Nursing Supervisors, using an automated dispensing system to ensure accurate dosing. What You'll Do8
- 1Administer daily medication to patients following program policy and medical protocols.
- 2Use the automated dispensing system, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
- 3Produce records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations.
- 4Ensure compliance with security standards for controlled substances per the Code of Federal Regulations.
- 5Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations, if granted Power of Attorney.
- 6Provide daily assessment of patients and report treatment information.
- 7Assist the Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.
- 8Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements7
- 1Current and good standing LPN or LVN license in the State of California, or a Psychiatric Technician license in CA.
- 2Current CPR certification.
- 3EMR and computer proficiency desired.
- 4Experience in chemical dependency preferred, with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
- 5Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
- 6Ability to work cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff.
- 7Detail-oriented and empathetic approach to patient care.
