Overview

Full Time Dispensing Nurse – LPN MedMark Treatment Centers seeks detail oriented empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse to dispense medications as part of a treatment team. The dispensing nurse maintains equipment manages inventory and reports patient treatment information. Ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff demonstrating non judgmental acceptance toward Substance Use Disorder.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Administer daily medication to patients according to program policy and medical protocols
  • 2Use automated dispensing systems calibrate pumps and maintain equipment
  • 3Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by company protocol federal and state regulations
  • 4Ensure compliance with security standards for distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulations
  • 5Order receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations if granted Power of Attorney
  • 6Provide daily patient assessment
  • 7Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff
  • 8Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Requirements5

  • 1Current and good standing LPN license in the State of Maryland
  • 2Current CPR certification required
  • 3EMR and computer proficiency desired
  • 4Experience in chemical dependency preferred
  • 5Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
