What You'll Do8
- 1Greet customers professionally, verify identity, cross-reference active contracts, and dispatch the appropriate service technician while ensuring proper hand-off and call closure.
- 2Handle all elevator calls, including calming trapped passengers, distinguishing emergencies from nuisance calls, and contacting local authorities or agents as needed.
- 3Record trouble call details into the call center information system using Windows and follow local procedures to transfer control to a designated agent.
- 4Escalate calls following predefined procedures when unable to move responsibility to a company agent.
- 5Provide direct clerical support for data entry, filing, report generation, and distribution.
- 6Lift computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and distinguish color-coded functions on the system.
- 7Maintain voice contact with passengers to reassure them and use judgment in emergency situations.
- 8Use proper phone etiquette and a thorough understanding of call center processes to handle customer calls.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 21+ years experience in a call center or dispatch role, preferably handling emergency situations.
- 3Proficiency in Windows-based personal computer operations.
- 4Ability to type at least 50 words per minute, including numeric keypad entry.
- 5Clear written and verbal communication skills with proper grammar and phone etiquette.
- 6Calm demeanor under pressure, especially with trapped passengers.
- 7Working knowledge of general office equipment.
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
