Disaster Recovery Technician, Water Fire Mold Restoration
Overview
As a Disaster Recovery Technician in Paul Davis Restoration's Emergency Services Department, you will document, pack, clean, and restore contents in homes and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or smoke damage. You will work on-site in Las Vegas, managing the full pack-out process from customer interaction to warehouse deep cleaning. This role offers on-the-job training and the chance to earn IICRC certifications while making a meaningful difference for homeowners.
What You'll Do7
- 1Provide empathetic customer service to property owners throughout the restoration process
- 2Pack and protect customer possessions with proper wrapping and boxing techniques
- 3Clean and deodorize items affected by smoke and fire damage, including pack-outs and securing the structure
- 4Document each item during the pack-out and cleaning process with precision
- 5Transport contents to the warehouse for specialized cleaning and return them to customers
- 6Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and solvents
- 7Maintain a respectful and organized workspace in homes and commercial properties
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 3Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- 4Knowledge of water, fire, mold, and asbestos restoration practices (preferred)
- 5Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- 6Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
- 7Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 8Ability to lift 5-40+ pounds constantly and 20-100 pounds frequently
- 9IICRC certification in any area (a plus)
- 10Ability to pass a respirator physical and FIT test
