Director of Supply Chain, Aerospace & DFARS Compliance
Overview
Lead the end-to-end aerospace supply chain across Purchasing Material Control Supplier Development and Logistics for a major manufacturing operation. Own KPI driven performance improvements, AS9100 compliance, and supplier relationships at scale. This role partners with cross functional leaders to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead Purchasing Material Control Supplier Development and Logistics functions to drive end to end supply chain performance
- 2Craft sourcing strategies supplier selection criteria and procurement priorities aligned with customer requirements and DFARS
- 3Manage supplier negotiations long term agreements and strategic relationships to improve cost quality and delivery
- 4Oversee inventory management working capital and material availability to support production schedules
- 5Drive corrective and preventive actions from supply chain audits and performance issues
- 6Monitor supplier performance on cost quality delivery and responsiveness with KPI driven improvements
- 7Ensure ITAR EAR and import/export compliance for domestic and international shipments
- 8Collaborate with Logistics Manager to optimize domestic and international logistics and risk mitigation
- 9Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality delivery capacity and responsiveness
- 10Partner with cross functional teams to ensure compliant and on time material flow and customer commitments
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or related field
- 210+ years of progressive Supply Chain leadership experience in aerospace defense or regulated manufacturing
- 3Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- 4Experience leading Purchasing Material Control Supplier Development and Logistics through departmental managers
- 5Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP/MRP systems
- 6Experience supporting AS9100 certification customer and internal audits including corrective action management
- 7Working knowledge of DFARS ITAR EAR and regulatory requirements applicable to aerospace and defense supply chains
- 8Proven success negotiating supplier agreements pricing lead times capacity commitments and strategic partnerships
- 9Strong supplier relationship management and supplier development experience
- 10Excellent leadership communication analytical and problem solving skills
