You’ll guide a Robotics Research team to build a scalable data engine that underpins robot perception and manipulation, partnering with AI researchers to push the boundaries of embodied intelligence. What You'll Do10
- 1Set the research agenda for robotics data and embodied AI, aligning with product goals and customer needs
- 2Spearhead projects around multimodal representations, perception, and data-centric learning for robotics systems
- 3Grow and coach a team of Robotics Researchers, fostering scientific rigor and rapid experimentation
- 4Design scalable data collection methods spanning teleoperation, demonstrations, simulation, and real-world deployments
- 5Create end-to-end data pipelines with clear workflows, taxonomies, annotations, quality controls, evaluation metrics, and delivery formats
- 6Translate business objectives into concrete data requirements and successful metrics for pipeline success
- 7Collaborate with research, engineering, product, and operations to operationalize pipelines and deliver production-ready data solutions
- 8Establish benchmarks and evaluation frameworks to measure robot learning performance
- 9Keep ahead of the field by reviewing emerging literature and tools from top labs and industry
- 10Document findings and share knowledge to enable cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements8
- 1Extensive background in robotics research, embodied AI or robot learning
- 2Proven experience leading technical or research teams
- 3Strong grasp of robotics data pipelines and multimodal datasets for learning
- 4Expertise in perception, manipulation, control, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or robotics-focused foundation models
- 5Track record of designing and evaluating large-scale robotics datasets and collection strategies
- 6Ability to translate cutting-edge ideas into scalable systems and interfaces
- 7Excellent communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
