Overview

CaptivateIQ seeks a Director of Product Management to lead the Product Platform strategy at scale. This role defines the evolution of core layers — data, workflows, reporting, identity, state, and AI/agent platform — making every product faster to build and models more connected. The ideal candidate balances deep technical curiosity with decisive execution, driving platform excellence while scaling enterprise readiness.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Own the Product Platform strategy and roadmap, defining how shared layers evolve to accelerate product delivery and enhance model connectivity.
  • 2Design API-first primitives teams default to, retiring redundant parallel versions and championing interface-first, agent-ready designs.
  • 3Lead hands-on product initiatives, immersing in customer workflows and technical constraints to reason from system dynamics rather than surface requirements.
  • 4Develop system thinkers by coaching PMs to balance holistic trade-offs and align platform work with business outcomes.
  • 5Drive measurable impact by connecting platform work to outcomes like development velocity, API-first coverage, and reduced fragmentation.

Requirements5

  • 14+ years leading product managers with a track record shaping complex multi-tenant systems.
  • 2Deep experience with platform or infrastructure products — data platforms, APIs, workflow engines, identity solutions, or similar foundational layers.
  • 3Proven ability to build reusable primitives serving multiple products and external builders.
  • 4Fluency in AI/agent stack: MCP, agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, and orchestration around models.
  • 5Strong cross-functional instincts and a coaching mindset focused on developing people's judgment.

Staff Product Manager, AI Coaching Platform

You own a company-level bet in AI-first leadership coaching, turning ambiguity into shipped outcomes across multiple projects. You decide what we invest in, what we drop, and what good means, with no PM manager above you. You work with a tight PDE (product-design-engineering) team, using AI for analysis, prototyping, and synthesis while you frame and decide. This role is for senior PMs who thrive on judgment, not coordination, and who multiply the team's impact through standards and coaching.
